Spicy Tails, the makers of Spice and Wolf, is working on bringing their 2013 visual novel, World End Economica, to life in an all new way. The Kickstarter for the project started at the end of November and now it’s winding down with five days left (as of the writing of this article) but the team has managed to surpass their initial Kickstarter goal of $45,000.
Sankaku Complex spotted the news from an update made by Spicy Tails via Twitter on December 27th, 2019.

The studio thanked the fans for helping them accrue more than $47,500, while they still have some days left on the Kickstarter campaign.
The funds from the campaign will be used to advertise the anime and help spread the word about the project in order to generate hype and get World End Economica out there to the broader visual novel community.
Competition is fierce and they’re hoping to make a mark by getting it up and out there in hopes of attracting the right kind of studio and voice cast to work on the project.
Given the current climate of the anime industry, it’s a long-shot in seeing World of Economica become a successful anime, as there are a lot of hurdles to overcome, but if the team has determination and enough funding, they might be able to pull it off.
If you wanted to learn more about the project or contribute some funds to help Spicy Tails out, you can do so by visiting the official Kickstarter page.
You can get your hands on the visual novel series right now, as all three episodes are available in a bundle over on the Steam store for $38.00. During the Steam Winter Sale the visual novels are marked down by 65% off.
