Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot Will Take 40 hours To Beat For Those That Skip Side-Content

I know some gamers out there don’t like “rough estimates” regarding how long a game is before completion since most estimates aren’t indicative of how an individual will play the game. However, for those interested in Bandai Namco and CyberConnect2’s Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot and its length, Famitsu has a piece up offering insight on the game’s run time.

Catching wind from dualshockers.com, the site in question has a piece up covering Famitsu’s Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot review. The Japanese site gave the upcoming action game a 34 out 40, indicating that it’s a title worth your time — although I’d say to look the game over extensively before buying it if you’re leery.

Secondly, DualShockers notes that Famitsu moved on from review scores to game length. And for those of you out there that care and want to have an estimate before committing to Kakarot, the game should take around 40 hours if you skip all side-content:

“The review mentions that Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot will be roughly 40 hours long without doing any side content.”

I’m assuming the game might take folks around 20 through 40 hours to beat depending on playstyle, skill, and knowledge of mechanics. I should mention that there’s more to discover in this game as per the website:

“However, if you’re a completionist, you will need to carve out some time. It will take over 100 hours to fully complete Goku’s iconic adventure.”

Furthermore, for those that like to 100% or platinum a title, it will take around 100 hours, according to Famitsu. I’m not sure if it will actually take 100 hours to find everything, but that’s the estimate right now.

With all of that said, now you have an idea as to how long the game’s length is if you want to skip content or go all-in and experience everything.

Lastly, if you want to assume Goku (and others) and experience the Dragon Ball Z story all over again, Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot is currently set to hit PC, PS4, and Xbox One on January 17th, 2020.
