A Certain Scientific Railgun T New Episodes Delayed Due To Coronavirus

While the media attempts to downplay the effects of the coronavirus and call anyone “racist” who dare even suggest it was a bioweapon created in a Wuhan laboratory, the same media is now conceding that various media properties are being negatively impacted by that same virus and are either going on indefinite hiatus or being pushed back until the quarantine in China lifts.

Nicchiban is reporting that A Certain Scientific Railgun T‘s seventh episode has been indefinitely delayed until further notice.

They picked up the news from a tweet made by the official Twitter account for the series on February 17th, 2020, where they link to the news over on the official website, which states that the show has been delayed due to the coronavirus.

The statement on the official website reads…

“Regarding plans to broadcast #7 “Auribus oculi fideliores sunt (Seeing Is Worth More Than Believing) on February 21st, 2020, (Friday), due to the growing global controversy that is “COVID-19”, it has created an inconvenience for the production and inevitably the broadcast must be postponed in result of these circumstances.”

The rest of the post goes on to state that the sixth episode will re-air on February 21st, 2020 in place of the seventh episode.

They have plans on announcing when the seventh episode will air at a later date on the official website.

It appears more and more anime that had their production outsourced to cheap Chinese studios are being impacted the worse by the virus, along with movies that were set to premiere in the mainland. Some games that were also making use of port-houses in China have also been impacted, such as the Nintendo Switch version of The Outer Worlds.

Even big budget movies like James Bond 007: No Time To Die were affected by the virus. Expect more media properties that rely on Chinese businesses to get hit as a result of China having to quarantine its citizens to stop the spread of the virus.
