Fallout: New Vegas Devs To Release Grounded On Steam Early Access

Obsidian Entertainment released The Outer Worlds last year, which features noticeable amounts of social justice content. As of now, the triple-A devs are taking to Steam Early Access to release Grounded, meaning that folks attempting to play the game are nothing more than test guinea pigs.

Grounded was announced during the Xbox Team’s XO19 event, where gamers and fans got to see footage of the upcoming action-adventure game by the Fallout: New Vegas devs.

The trailer highlights that the game in question will launch across the Xbox One family of consoles, as well as PC via the Windows Store.

As of today, we learn that the woke studio backed by Microsoft will release Grounded on Steam. However, it won’t launch on Steam as a complete game but as an unfinished Early Access title.

According to website gamingbolt.com, it is said that when the game enters Early Access, players can expect 20% of the full story, three major biomes, base building, and the first two tiers of armor and weapons.

Single-player and co-op will be a thing alongside crafting and a mode called “Arachnophobia.” Oh, and the game’s price will increase as it nears completion, so it’s not free.

With all of that said, if you haven’t seen the reveal trailer for Grounded, which has more dislikes than likes, you can check it out right here:

“Obsidian Entertainment announces Grounded, their new survival game with a small twist. Go big or never go home in Spring 2020. An Xbox Game Preview title built with community feedback and premiering on Xbox Game Pass for console and PC.”

I know that this is another branch of Obsidian Entertainment, but it’s amazing to see the company praised as “one of the best RPG makers” with funding from Microsoft take an Early Access approach while making players pay to be QA testers.

Anyway, it is said that Obsidian Entertainment will have a panel at PAX East 2020, so expect info on Grounded to pop up there — assuming they don’t cancel due to the coronavirus. In the meantime, the game is currently set to make its debut on PC and Xbox One this spring.
