XIII Remake To Gain Info Soon, Microïds Has No Plans For Epic Games Store Ports

It looks like folks might hear something soon regarding the latest remake of the 2003 first-person shooter XIII. Although we haven’t heard anything about the forthcoming game since its delay last year, it looks like 2020 will be the year that changes.

Back on August 8th, 2019, Microïds and PlayMagic announced that the remake of XIII wouldn’t release in November of last year, but sometime this year (2020).

After that, the publisher and developer over the remake later shared screenshots of actual in-game stills. Although some fans weren’t happy with the visuals shown, it was an update nonetheless.

Fast forward to February of this year, and not a single update has been shared on Microïds’ site regarding the FPS game. Nevertheless, the publisher did take to Twitter not too long ago to tease a curious fan.

This fan wanted to know if an update on the remake is inbound, and it looks like we might see gameplay footage or some batch of screens soon:

Aside from upcoming news dropping “soon,” one user wanted to know if Microïds will bring its portfolio of games over to the Epic Games Store. Of course, this means XIII and other titles under the publisher would end up on the anti-consumer client.

In addition to the above, it looks like Microïds isn’t in the business to move games like XIII, Oddworld Stranger’s Wrath, and others to Tim Sweeney’s store:

Hopefully, the publisher doesn’t back peddle on its promise and continues to keep XIII as a none Epic Games Store timed exclusive.

Finally, the 2020 remake of XIII will hit PC via Steam, PS4, Xbox One, and Switch. Sadly, at this point and time, it’s unclear if the game will launch during the mid-part of this year or much later? However it goes, you can learn more by paying microids.com a visit.
