CD Projekt Red Submits Cyberpunk 2077 To Rating Agencies, Polishing Continues

CD Projekt Red is working on Cyberpunk 2077 as we speak, which means the game needs to go through various rating agencies to be published on store shelves and the digital scene. However, the game is also in a phase where the devs can playtest and further polish the title heading to PC and home consoles this September.

Not too long ago, CD Projekt Red wanted to make it known that the company supports International Women’s Day by posting a tweet of a more current year version of V, which looks like something that you’d find on a blue checkmark’s Twitter account. Oh, wait…

Aside from CD Projekt Red using International Women’s Day as a vehicle to push the more masculine looking V via a reversible cover for the game, Adam Badowski — head of studio at CD Projekt Red — recently tweeted that the sci-fi RPG is being reviewed by rating board agencies:

Seeing that the game has a reversible cover, various agencies reviewing it so that it can have an age rating, as well as the forthcoming game being in a state that allows the devs to playtest and polish it, may very well mean it will release in mid-September.

In other words, the game should go gold sometime in late Q2 or early Q3 2020. From this point, when a game goes gold, it means that it’s complete and ready for worldwide shipment and shouldn’t face any delays.

Anyway, Cyberpunk 2077 is set to hit PC, PS4, and Xbox One on September 17th, 2020.
