TV Tokyo and Pierrot’s Boruto: Naruto Next Generations is the latest victim of Corona-chan. Her wily charms have proven to be inescapable for even the most popular of anime, including the next generation of Naruto.
Crunchyroll posted up a tweet informing fans that no new episodes would be coming and that the series was indefinitely delayed until further notice.
New episodes of BORUTO: NARUTO NEXT GENERATIONS will be delayed until further notice. We’ll let you know any updates to the broadcast schedule as soon we can. Thanks for your patience and understanding!

The tweet was posted on April 20th, 2020, and it links to the official Crunchyroll website where they formally announce that the schedule for the show has been completely altered.
They actually link to the official Naruto to Boruto Twitter account, which notes that the last new episode will air on April 26th, 2020.
They explain in the news section of the official website that the originally scheduled new episde that was supposed to air on May 3rd, 2020, will not air.
Instead they will rebroadcast from the first episode onward for each week until further notice.
As pointed out by Crunchyroll, the series already has 153 episodes in the tank, so they can start all the way over and follow the story up to present for the next few years if they just air reruns at one episode per week.
The production of a lot of other anime have also been impacted by the coronavirus as well, mostly due to the fact that a lot of the art is outsourced to Malaysia and China, both of which have been crippled by Corona-chan, it means that a lot of new production content is caught in limbo and they either need to bring all back in-house or find another cheap outsourcing alternative.
Expect more news to pop up of more anime being delayed as the global quarantines continue.
