Diary Of Our Days At The Breakwater Episodes Postponed Due To Coronavirus

Doga Kobo’s Diary of Our Days At The Breakwater, also known as Houkago Teibou Nisshi, has been affected by the coronavirus. The fourth episode was originally supposed to air on April 28th, 2020, but it’s now been postponed indefinitely, along with the rest of the future episodes.

Anime Intelligence & Research caught wind of the news and posted up a notice on Twitter on April 14th, 2020.

The tweet links over to the Natalie.mu website where they reported that Yasuyuki Kosaka’s Houkago Teibou Nisshi was being affected by the virus and that since the third episode was already finished and produced and scheduled to air on April 21st, 2020, it will proceed to do so, but the fourth episode and every subsequent episode is not yet ready and since the quarantine is in effect they don’t have a timetable on when the episode will air.

The site also notes that since the episode air dates have been affected, this will also change the release schedule for the DVD and Blu-ray sets as well. Now Volume 1 of the Blu-ray and DVD will release on September 25th instead of June 26th, and the release of the CD single for the end song has also been postponed to July 22nd.

The slice-of-life anime based on the manga that’s about a young girl making friends while learning how to fish is just one of many shows impacted by the coronavirus.

Many anime movies have also had their theatrical premieres affected as well, including but not limited to Violet Evergarden, Detective Conan, and Princess Principal.

You’ll have to stay tuned in with the official website for Diary of Our Days at the Breakwater to find out when new episodes will be airing, or if the production schedule will ever get back to being normal.
