8bit’s The Irregular At Magic High School: Visitor Arc, also known as Mahouka Koukou no Rettousei: Raihousha-hen, had its second season postponed to October due to the coronavirus disrupting the production of the show.
Anime Intelligence & Research posted a tweet informing followers that the anime wouldn’t be airing as intended, but will instead release in the fall.

The A.I.R., tweet links over to the official Mahouka Koukou no Rettousei website, where there’s a news post that was published on April 24th, 2020 indicating that the the broadcast delivery has been postponed from its July air date.
The message on the site basically states…
“July, 2020 broadcasting and distribution plans scheduled for The Irregular At Magic High School: Visitor Arc have been postponed due to due to the spread of the coronavirus COVID-19 disease.
“October, 2020 is when the new scheduled broadcast is set to take place. The details of the time and dates will be revealed on the official anime website.”
The Irregular At Magic High School is just one of many anime affected by the coronavirus.
Unlike other anime, though, it at least has a broadcast window in tow with the announcement. So it’s not just being indefinitely delayed like some projects out there.
However, it is curious that they have an October release window. Did they bring production back to local studios? Did they find a new outsource farm to help speed along production? How exactly are they getting around the quarantines in place? Definitely gets the noggin joggin’.
Anyway, you can look for the second season to air this fall.
