8-Bit’s The Slime Diaries: That Time I Got Reincarnated As A Slime is a spin-off anime that’s based on the popular manga. However, it was originally scheduled to premiere in January of 2021 next year, but is now being postponed to April, 2021 during the spring… all because of Mistress Corona-chan.
The news was captured by Anime Intelligence & Research, who informed fans on May 27th, 2020 that the other seasons of Tensura, including The Slime Diaries spin-off, would be affected by the coronavirus, with their air dates being pushed back to accommodate the production delays.
Due to the recent ongoing COVID-19, the following series will be delayed:
TenSura S2 1st-cour – January 2021
The Slime Diaries – April 2021
TenSura S2 2nd-cour – July 2021https://t.co/FM75YHWNtk— A.I.R (Anime Intelligence (and) Research) (@AIR_News01) May 28, 2020

Slime Diaries was originally going to air in January of 2021 but is now pushed back to April.
Exact details on the air dates will be announced at a later time via the official website and via social media.
The website notice wraps up with an apology to fans for the delay, even though it was well beyond their control due to Japan’s enactment of a national emergency shut down.
This is just one of many cases of movies and shows being delayed due to the coronavirus.
