The anti-police sentiments seem to be expanding beyond television shows and social media. New reports have emerged indicating that Epic Games is apparently censoring the appearance of police vehicles in Fortnite.
MSN picked up the news from CNN and the Wall Street Journal, who reported that gamers noticed that police vehicles had been removed from Fortnite.
The article succinctly states…
“Fortnite, one of the world’s most popular games, has reportedly removed police cars in its latest season as protests against police brutality have erupted across the United States.
“The Wall Street Journal first reported the news, and multiple users on Reddit also noticed the change. Epic Games, Fortnite’s developer, didn’t immediately respond to CNN Business’ request for comment.
“Police cars in earlier versions of the game were for decorative purposes and couldn’t be driven by players, according to the newspaper. “
I would say to take this all with a grain of salt. Both CNN and The Wall Street Journal have wholesale made up fake news in the past, and this could be them biting at the bit for attention. For those of you who don’t remember, The Wall Street Journal was one of the outlets that formed a hate-mob around PewDiePie that resulted in the adpocalypse, and CNN has run multiple fake news stories, including a hit-piece on Elon Musk this past spring.
MSN syndicating the news only makes things worse because you now have major media platforms and aggregators spreading something that has yet to be verified by Epic Games.
Unfortunately, it’s already out there.
So far, Epic Games has yet to make announcement about the removal of the police cars, and whether it was just for the seasonal update or because it was due to all of the manufactured riots taking place around the world, which has resulted in multiple deaths, and the destruction of people’s homes and property.
