Gran Turismo 7 Trailer Previews Overhauled Career Mode

During the PlayStation 5 presentation one of the big (but not surprising) reveals was Polyphony Digital and PlayStation Studios’ Gran Turismo 7. It seems amazing that Forza has rapidly surpassed Gran Turismo on the numerical count when it comes to sequels despite launching an entire generation and three games late. Nevertheless, here we are.

The seventh numerical entry in the series of Gran Turismo was introduced with a three and a half minute long trailer, which runs through some of the tracks you’ll be racing across, some of the cars you’ll be racing, and some of the features you can expect to see during the race.

You can check out the trailer below.

One thing they hammer home quite early on is that they do indeed still have the Porsche license for this outing. That was one of the big highlights during last gen when EA finally gave up the exclusivity rights for Porsche, and Gran Turismo and Forza were then allowed to make use of the license, instead of only having RUF as an option in their games.

After a minute of vignettes, the trailer then moves to the simulation mode, also known as GT Town in Gran Turismo 7.

Here you’ll be able to scout for used cars, check out different brands, go to driving school to get your license(s), race against other players online, or earn credits through championship races.

Gran Turismo 7 - Home

It’s very much like the other simulation career modes from previous games, with the exception of Gran Turismo Sport, which wasn’t a real Gran Turismo game at all.

They preview a few of the features from the main touring menu, including visiting your home where you can scope out the current car you’re riding, as well as heading to the tuning shop to purchase new parts for your ride.

Next, they preview the GT World mode, where you can select from three different global regions to compete in, including the Americas, Europe, and Asia/Oceania.

The announcement trailer ends with a brief spin through the mountains in a super car at 60fps.

Hopefully they can maintain that frame-rate at all times during the actual release for the PS5.

Keep in mind, however, that Sony has directly donated and defended the destruction taking place across the United States, which is precisely why they’re on the Traitors of America list. Remember this.
