CD Projekt Red Has No Plans On Releasing A Playable Public Demo For Cyberpunk 2077

CD Projekt Red has delayed Cyberpunk 2077 from April 16th to September 17th, 2020. Subsequently, the game faced yet another delay pushing its release date to November 19th, 2020. Despite concerns growing due to the number of delays, the company will not release a demo for the public to play as per a new report.

If CD Projekt Red isn’t promoting stuff like wall-running and then turning around and cutting it from the game, then you can expect the official Cyberpunk 2077 Twitter account to post silly stuff that supports rioters — landing said account on the Traitors of America master list.

With that said, the game that has people working on it with hair as colorful as the neon signs in-game will not have a demo for the public to play according to a new tweet. Although you might recall that YouTubers like Arekkz Gaming had the chance to play up to four hours of the game, the average consumer will not be able to do so.

This information comes from dsogaming.com, which picked up on a tweet from the official Cyberpunk 2077 Twitter account claiming that it would take up to much time and resources to create a demo for the general public to try out:

If you can’t read the tweet in question, a written version lies below answering a user wanting to know if a 30-minute demo of the game would ever pop up:

“Unfortunately not. Creating a playable demo for public requires a lot of resources and testing.”

None of the above should come in as a surprise given that the team is actively taking out promised and promoted features like wall-running since the team is being filled with diversity hires backed by diversity rules. This whole thing is similar to EA and DICE saying they couldn’t add double XP to Battlefield V since “the tech isn’t there” despite it running on the same engine as its previous installments.

Lastly, Cyberpunk 2077 will release worldwide on November 19th, 2020, for PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
