In the Hungry Shark series of games, you play for any number of sharks who eat everything in sight. This includes humans.

In fact, it is practically impossible to play Hungry Shark without eating at least some humans. Sometimes this will be divers or swimmers, but often you are required to go straight to the beach and actually go on land to slaughter countless innocent humans minding their own business. (The swimmers and divers are also innocent humans minding their own business, by the way.) Thankfully, Hungry Shark World is a light hearted game and the developers don’t try to pretend that the sharks are in the right, like the developers of Maneater absurdly tried to do. Still, look at this screenshot from Hungry Shark 4:

Ouch! Imagine being that woman, just minding your own business swimming by the beach, to then get speared in the waist by a shark, your last living moments spent in excruciating pain as you bleed to death as this smiling shark’s spear sends you impaled into the sky. Yikes, Hungry Shark!

There are a couple of Hungry Shark World books for kids, and thankfully in these books, the sentient sharks want peace with the humans, and there are human teenager protagonists. A tv-show is coming up soon, and it remains to be seen if the tv-show follows the books good example.

Hungry Shark World is supposed to be cute and lighthearted. It should give players the choice to whether they want to kill humans or not. There should ideally even be a choice to protect beachgoers from Hungry sharks, that would be awesome.
