Dark Souls 3: How To Reach Archdragon Peak

Some players have had a tough time getting to some of the hidden areas in Dark Souls III, in particular the Archdragon Peak. There’s a process for accessing the area and a few helpful guides to point you in the right direction for getting to the peak.

Youtuber Shirrako has a commentary-free guide showcasing how you access the hidden area that leads through the Untended Graves and the route you need to take to get to the Peak. You can check out the video below.

First thing is first, you need to defeat Oceiros, the Consumed King. It’s the dragon boss trying to protect its “baby”. After doing so take a whiff of the flames from the bonfire and then proceed through the door at the end of the hall. Continue all the way through the corridor to the room with the chest at the end of the room. Walk past the chest and strike the wall with your weapon to open up the secret wall that leads to the catacombs.

Head to your left and through the corridor and then follow the path through the corridor that leads down a flight of steps. Head through the doors that lead down to the section with a lever that calls up the elevator. Ride the elevator down and leap off cliff. Proceed to mediate at the cliff’s edge by sitting down, as demonstrated at the 1:45 mark in the video below.

That’s literally how you enter into the Archdragon Peak… through meditation.

In order to get the gesture/emote that’s used in the video above, it’s located at a broken bowl in the following room after you defeat Oceiros. At the bottom of the bowl will be a statue sitting down; interact with it to gain the new emote.

If you missed the statue, YouTuber Jobsquad media shows you exactly where you need to go to get the emote and from there demonstrates how to use the gesture/emote to access the Archdragon Peak.

A couple of people have mentioned that they’ve had problems finding Oceiros and don’t know where to go or how to get the location. Well, you’re in luck because there’s an eight minute video from godfather55 that shows you how to access the boss area where Oceiros is located that will eventually open up an opportunity for you to get to Archdragon Peak.

Dark Souls III is available right now for the Xbox One, PS4 and PC in North America, Europe and Japan. Gamers are currently hacking, slashing and dying their way to victory as they attempt to uncover all of the game’s hidden secrets.
