The highly anticipated game from Scott Cawthon within the Five Nights At Freddy’s universe called Sister Location, has received a release window of October. This was revealed after the Steam page went live recently.
The Escapist did a very quick rundown of the news, highlighting the fact that the upcoming horror game will be available during the spooky time of Halloween.
Jokes have flourished throughout the community about Cawthon’s release times, which are usually far sooner than what he initially reveals. Sometimes he’ll say a game is due out several months from that announcement but then release it a few days or weeks later. He likes to troll, and he trolls hard.
The upcoming game is a bit of mystery, though. Cawthon originally said that Five Nights at Freddy’s would end with the fourth game, but then there was the RPG, Five Nights at Freddy’s World, and now there’s this new spin-off called Sister Location. If you haven’t see the trailer yet you can check it out below.
The screenshots and brief, fleeting images used in the trailer has the community completely on the scavenger warpath, looking for any and every clue that they can find to discover what’s going on in the newest game.
The screenshots seem to indicate that majority of the game will take place on an elevator that goes up and down between the floors, but the screenshots also reveal air ducts, a control panel and some other room. It’s tough to tell what’s going on, but it could be set within an amusement park of sorts. The only information on the home page from Cawthon states…
“Welcome to Circus Baby’s Pizza World, where family fun and interactivity go beyond anything you’ve seen at those *other* pizza places! With cutting-edge animatronic entertainers that will knock your kids’ socks off, as well as customized pizza catering, no party is complete without Circus Baby and the gang!”
Circus Baby, by the way, is the one animatronic in the main image above and the one featured in the trailer.
