Omega Force and Koei Tecmo are prepping for release of Attack on Titan for home consoles and PC. The game will be available on the PS3, PS4, Xbox 360 and Xbox One starting next week on August 30th. However, PC gamers will be able to get their hands on the title at the end of this week, starting August 26th.
Over on the official Steam store page for Attack on Titan, the game is listed as releasing in just a couple of days at the end of this week.
That’s a rather interesting turn of events given that usually PC titles launch later than their console counterparts, but in this case it appears as if PC gamers will get the hack-and-slash, multiplayer-oriented adventure game earlier than console owners.
The system requirements have also been posted up for the game, giving gamers an idea of what sort of system you’ll need both on the minimum spec side and the recommended spec side to get the most out of Attack on Titan: Wings of Freedom.
On the minimum side, you’ll need an i7 at 2.93ghz to get the game up and running. 4GB of RAM and an Nvidia GTS 450 will also set you on the way, along with 25GB of hard drive space. The recommended specs sees you needing at least Windows 7, an i7 at 3.4ghz or higher, 8GB of RAM and an Nvidia GTX 760 or higher to run the game.
This is the first major PC release for an Attack on Titan outside of the indie titles like Attack on Titan: Tribute Game, giving players the anime-style visuals and online multiplayer to help round out the features. The dismemberment function and the ability to fire blades, grapple, and fly throughout the city (and forest) should prove to make Wings of Freedom an interesting game to experience for PC gamers.
You can look to get your hands on the title at the end of this week on August 26th. For more info feel free to hit up the game’s Steam store page.
