Battlefy Is Giving Away Amazing Prizes For Splatoon Tournament

If you have your own Splatoon Squad of friends and you think you have what it takes to be the very best, you might be interested in this tournament held by Battlefy.com, which is handing out some pretty awesome rewards.

Let’s quickly get the basics out the way. For those of you that don’t know, Battlefy is a website that is dedicated to holding tournaments for players to battle against one another for fame, glory and awesome prizes. For this specific tournament, Battlefy will give one lucky team a chance to win a grand prize that includes–

One (1) round-trip coach-class transportation from a major U.S. commercial airport near the winner’s home to the metro Los Angeles area [….], he or she may receive round-trip ground transportation to Los Angeles in lieu of the airline tickets) (ARV $350.00);
Three (3) nights lodging in a hotel chosen by Sponsor in the Los Angeles, CA area [….] (ARV $1200.00)
One (1) three-day pass to E3 2017. $225 total per diem (total for trip).
One (1) Nintendo Switch™ system (ARV $299.99)
One (1) Splatoon™ 2 video game (provided within 14 days of launch) (ARV $59.99)
One (1) Splatoon™ branded Hat (ARV $19.99)
One (1) Jakks Pacific Splatoon Inkling Boy Collectible Figure (ARV $13.99)

Second place gets some pretty awesome rewards as well, such as —

Each of the five (5) team members of the second place team will receive:
One (1) Splatoon™ 2 video game (provided within 14 days of launch ) (ARV $59.99)
One (1) Splatoon™ branded Hat (ARV $19.99)
One (1) Jakks Pacific Splatoon Inkling Boy Collectible Figure (ARV $13.99)

Don’t aim for second place, though, go for gold!

So what do you have to do to win? Well, if you read the first and second prize rewards you might have noticed that you will need at least four team members to form your squad, but you can also have one back-up to bring it to Five members (you might need to bench someone if they get too rowdy out on the field). All team members must be valid USA residents and at least 18 years of age. You will then choose one member to be your team Captain to make all the major decisions. Every team needs a leader, so choose wisely and make it a good one!

You will then need to sign up for Battlefy and register your Splatoon Squad on the official Splatoon Tournament page.

After you are signed up you should probably get some team practice in, because the tournament officially starts on Saturday, April 22nd 2017. You will need to battle through a best of 5 single elimination bracket in the Turf War game mode, which will then narrow the remaining teams down for the finals, which is as follows —

Finals (April 29) will run as a best of 5 single elimination bracket in all game modes as follows:
Round of 16: Turf War
Round of 8: Splat Zones
Round of 4: Tower Control
Round of 2 (Grand Finals): Rainmaker

As a warning, you will be in charge of choosing which team member hosts the game for your squad, so make sure you have stable internet because a disconnect counts as a lose!

The tournament admin will set up the game and choose the map, so be ready. The Registration deadline ends at 11:00 AM Pacific Daylight Time on April 22nd, 2017, and games will be played in succession until only 16 teams remain. The official finals will start at 11:00 AM Pacific Daylight Time on April 29th, 2017.

I highly recommend that you visit the Battlefy Splatoon Tournament page and read it in detail for further information. Good luck, and may the best team win!
