Welcome to the second to last April Open Discussion. In this topic driven series, you can post anything that you like about video games or other mediums and will face no censorship when doing so. This series of discussions change every week but usually revolves around video games and the like.
Open Discussions arrive every Sunday on this site and explore a wide variety of topics that include technology, interactive entertainment, politics, and other mediums, and like any other post on this site, no comment will face any form of censorship.
If one of your comments, however, faces a form of censorship in that it’s removed or blocked, please do let us know so that we can address the situation and restore your comment back to what it was intended to be when it was first posted. Due to the acts of WordPress and Disqus, a comment of yours might face problems but, as mentioned above, shoot us a message, and we’ll try to straighten things out.
With that out of the way, this Open Discussion is about the all-digital scene and how it is creeping back once again. With the upcoming release of the Xbox One S All Digital (best known by its meme name SAD) and the recent case of the PS4 gamer who lost access to his digital games by violating Sony’s hate speech policy, what are you’re thoughts on this movement?
In addition to the above, do you think companies will use this all-digital movement to enforce actual restrictions with a “virtuous cause” as a front or do you think the all-digital scene will bring substantial benefits to gamers and fans alike?
If you have something else on your mind and wish to share it on this Open Discussion, you are free to post it up here. This means that content or stuff unrelated to this very topic can be shared without being moved or taken down.
This week’s music selection is Smooth McGroove’s Wii Shop Channel acapella. Feel free to share your music selection in the comment section below.
