Ghost of Tsushima will release for PS4 on July 17th, 2020. However, folks looking to explore the island of Tsushima while taking on the Mongol Empire will find that the game won’t take up 100GB of space. As per the PlayStation Store, the game is asking folks to free up far less room to install the upcoming samurai/ninja title.

The game in question will run folks 50GB to download. Of course, it’s best to keep in mind other updates like day one patches, bug fixes, and additional updates that might increase the minimum 50GB file size to something else.

However, unlike Red Dead Redemption 2 and The Last of Us: Part 2 (both of which call for 100GB of free space) or Call of Duty: Modern Warfare (asking for a whopping 200GB after all of the mandatory updates), this game cuts down the install size by asking gamers to have at least 50GB of free space.

As for the game itself, the story sees the island of Tsushima on the brink of destruction in the late 13th century. From here, players will assume the role of Jin Sakai, who must sacrifice everything to ward off the Mongol invaders and protect what’s left of his home.

As Sakai embarks on an adventure to free Tsushima, he is forced to set aside his knowledge of the way of the samurai and become a “new” ghost warrior — a ninja. From here, Sakai must hone his skills, and master new arts to strike down the invading Mongol Empire.

Lastly, the upcoming M-rated game will sport blood and gore, partial nudity, and intense violence as per classification.gov.au.
