Disney Blocks YouTube Video Criticizing Half-Rendered Hulk CGI From Avengers: Endgame Deleted Scene

YouTuber Salty Cracker made a video featuring the unfinished CGI of the Hulk that was used in a deleted scene that was part of the Avengers: Endgame re-release, and somehow it netted him the laser-focused attention of an angry legal team from the House of the Mouse.

His video was originally posted up called “Disney Doesn’t Bother Rendering Hulk In End Game Re-Release Clip”, but it was hit with a worldwide copyright block. Meaning that no one could see it, no money could be made from it, and if he disputed it he would have to take it to court. The image of the block was shared in a follow-up video published on July 2nd, 2019.

This means that the video doesn’t show up in any recommendations and you can’t search it up using the YouTube search function.

In order to access the video you would need the direct link, but even if you have the link you still can’t see the video. It shows an error message that the video is unavailable due to containing content from Disney Enterprises Inc., and therefore it’s blocked on copyright grounds.

The takedown angered Salty Cracker so much that he roasted Disney in the follow-up video talking about the original clip being taken down, which contained 19 seconds of footage that was removed from YouTube.

He replaces the footage with troll-drawings of the Hulk and still roasts Disney in the follow-up video, which you can check out below.

Now the real kicker is that other YouTubers are also making videos about the deleted scene. However, they’re not all using the footage directly, but instead are showing small snippets and clips interspersed with other clips from Avengers: Endgame.

A good example of this is Emergency Awesome, who decided to sprinkle in some voiceover commentary and exposition about the scenes to help stave off the copyright justicars at Disney.

However, there are also some other YouTubers who are uploading the Endgame clip wholesale and with no edits. In fact, YouTubers like No Name has a five minute unedited upload of the clip below.

Then again maybe it was because of the inclusion of the other content that kept Disney from nuking that upload? Or perhaps Disney’s lawyers just didn’t come across No Name’s channel yet? Alternatively, maybe the henchmen at Disney just didn’t like Salty Cracker’s title for the upload and since it portrayed the clip in a negative light they decided to nuke it?

The only way to know for sure is for Disney’s lawyers to tell, but they seem to be busy copyright striking other content to waste time on explaining their reasoning for targeting some channels and videos while ignoring others.
