The Best Games of 2021

2020 may have been a year to forget but it certainly made us appreciate the little things. Walks along the beach, drinks at the bar? Or maybe just the fact that sitting at home in front of the console is finally not just recommended, it’s nearly compulsory for some. What better time to indulge in some first-class gaming?

Games aren’t cheap though so if you’re looking to take a small break from gaming and maybe make some pocket money, you can find the best new casino online, right here. It may just help to give your finances a nudge in the right direction for all these sweet games that are due in 2021.

What Does 2021 Hold?

Far Cry 6

Far Cry 6 has all that has made this franchise so successful, with just a little touch of Breaking Bad’s Giancarlo Esposito as the authoritarian villain. Set on a Caribbean Island, Ubisoft’s history of creating mind-blowing visual effects will certainly come to fruition this time round.

You play as a freedom fighter, hell bent on taking down Castillo and his regime within an open-world scenario. As well as spectacular scenario, Far Cry 6 will be crammed with engaging hunting elements and interaction. Definitely not one to miss.

God of War: Ragnarok

Firstly, so little is known about this sequel that even the name is somewhat of a guess at this point. If the name is anything to go by, Norse mythology is certain to be the theme for this PS5 Blockbuster. Not much to say other than the world’s worst trailer release to date but plenty to expect from 2018’s sequel.

Horizon Forbidden West

As much as Horizon Zero Dawn was one of the top games for PS4, this sequel is likely to explode on PS5 in the latter parts of 2021. Aloy is back and the Californian/Nevada, post-apocalyptic setting that was revealed in Sony’s trailer looks absolutely awesome. All new big robotic creatures, underwater scenes and a truly impressive landscape will ensure this is huge.

Halo: Infinite

One of Microsoft’s biggest franchises is getting even bigger this year with Infinite due in the fall. This free-to-play multiplayer has been many years in the making but is just what the doctor ordered to have Microsoft back in contention.

The 2020 preview was not taken kindly and the developers were forced to head back to the drawing board somewhat. But our patience will certainly be rewarded with the first look trailer teasing a Halo of old. If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it.

Ratchet and Clank: A Rift Apart

A true blast from the past but A Rift Apart is certain to be leaps ahead of the original. Dr Nefarious is wreaking havoc with the Dimensionator and dragging our heroes between worlds. New gadgets, new worlds, new guns but the same excitement that every version has given us. Kick-ass fun at its best.

Deathloop

Think Groundhog Day but no Bill Murray, lots of killing, and amazing graphics. From the makers of the Dishonored series, Arkane Studios don’t do your typical shooter games, and this is no exception.

You play as Colt, an assassin stuck in a time loop that can only be re-set when all eight of your targets are taken out. Whilst being hunted by another agent, Julianna, the stakes are high, but the game is packed with twists and turns. Multiplayer fans will not be disappointed with the option to play as Julianna and jump into other player’s games.

Resident Evil: Village

The direct sequel to RE7, Village looks to expand on the playing area of its predecessor with a larger game centred around the key element of the Village itself. Not an ideal location to start your real estate portfolio, but if you’re into witches, vampires, werewolves and, generally all things scary, this is for you. Due May and one to keep and eye out for, for sure.
