Monster Hunter World: Iceborne DLC Coming To PC Sometime In January 2020

Capcom’s Monster Hunter: World initially released back on January 26th, 2018, and will gain the big expansion dubbed as “Iceborne” this September for PS4 and Xbox One. However, PC players must wait sometime before going hands-on with the new DLC, which is set to debut sometime in January 2020.

Monster Hunter PC players must wait like always, but this time Capcom has issued out a release date so that PC folks can rest easy without living in uncertainty.

The announcement regarding Monster Hunter: Iceborne PC launch date comes from Cacpom on Twitter. You can read the tweet showing off the due dates for each system, which includes PC:

As for content, Capcom has the following description up explaining what PC (and PS4 and Xbox One) players will be doing in the chilling landscape that is home to new and big creatures:

“The game’s all-new story picks up after Monster Hunter: World and whisks hunters away to the newly discovered chilly locale that, once fully explored, becomes the largest region in World so far. The new locale is home to several new and returning monsters ready to challenge hunters throughout their expeditions, and raises the stakes with the added higher difficulty Master Rank. Iceborne continues the skill-based progression and robust crafting system found in World and expands that with several new gameplay features that broaden the player’s combat repertoire. All this leads to the ultimate hunter test against the mysterious new flagship monster, Velkhana.”

In addition to the above, Capcom says this expansion will bring a lot of quests that happen to contain the Great Jagras, the Banbaro, the Tigrex and more. Different weapons types and consumable items will also make an appearance in Iceborne, too.

Monster Hunter World’s expansion is scheduled to hit PS4, and Xbox One on September 6th, 2019, while the PC version is due out sometime in Q1 2019.
