Generation Zero, 1980s Themed Sci-Fi Shooter Will Get A Physical Release In 2019

Avalanche Studios has teamed up with THQ Nordic and announced that Generation Zero will get a physical boxed release in 2019 when it arrives for the Xbox One, PS4 and PC.

The first-person shooter is set in Sweden during the 1980s while an invasion takes place. Think Transformers meets Red Dawn.

Players will create their own character, gather supplies, and attempt to survive the onslaught while facing off against small robot minions, and large robot mechs. You can see what the teaser trailer for Generation Zero looks like below.

The game was originally announced for home consoles and PC just before E3 got underway.

Generation Zero sees players fighting back against the hostile machine invaders either in solo play or with up to three other players. The game has been heavily criticized for not properly portraying Sweden the way it was supposed to be portrayed back in the 1980s, and how the game seems to be mimicking the current day depiction of Sweden following the migrant crisis.

Nevertheless, Pim Holfve, CEO of Avalanche Studios, commented that they’re focused on getting the boxed copy of the game up and out to gamers and teamed up with THQ Nordic since the publisher helped in the past with theHunter.

The game will be playable for the first time at this year’s GamesCom event set to take place in Cologne, Germany.

We haven’t seen enough of Generation Zero to know for sure what the gameplay will be like other than that it’s a shooter game with some scavenging and survival elements, but we’ll definitely get a better idea of what Avalanche Studios is working on when August gets here.

In the meantime you’ll have to sit around and wait for additional gameplay trailers and screenshots to emerge from the gaming convention set to take place in Germany next month.

Right now, we update the game with trainers and cheats. Hopefully, it can make you easier to explore the game, easy to find anything you wanted inside the game, and also can finish the story faster.
