Days Gone, Zombie Survival Game Delayed To 2019

It seemed like a given that Bend Studio was going to delay Days Gone due to the amount of job listings popping up. The zombie-survival game set in an open world will now debut for PS4 sometime in 2019.

If you recall back in mid December 2017, SIE president Shuhei Yoshida made mention at PSX 2017 that Days Gone will release sometime in 2018. It was also said at the event that Days Gone can be played from start to finish internally.

Fast-forward to early February 2018 and we learn that Days Gone needs a lot of important roles to help out with whatever popped up a couple months after December. The information disclosing the following job listings can be found over on Bend Studio’s Twitter account.

The new job listings have been backed up by publication site USGamer and its recent report on Days Gone. The publication site posted the following information:

“Initially scheduled for a 2018 release, the official website for Days Gone now lists “2019” as its date of arrival. We reached out to Sony earlier today, and a spokesperson confirmed the change. “Days Gone will now be releasing in 2019 and we will keep you updated on the launch date.””

If you are a little leery and don’t believe the news yourself, an image showing the “delay date” can be viewed right here, which comes in by Days Gone official page over on playstation.com.

Days Gone Delay

Sony will likely update fans on future updates regarding Days Gone during the long wait time, but as of now eager gamers that like zombie-survival titles will have to wait an extra year.

Fans hard up for Days Gone news will find that on March 19th, Bend Studio developers will discuss AI algorithms in Days Gone. This will kick-off at this year’s Game Developers Conference (GDC), which will be held at the Moscone Conference Center in San Francisco, California.
