Dragon Age: Dread Wolf Rises Will Be Political And Celebrate Diversity, Says Narrative Director

If you had any hope of Dragon Age: The Dread Wolf Rises being a game for normal, everyday people, you hoped in vain. The narrative director on the upcoming title, John Epler, made a series of tweets proclaiming that the upcoming game will be “political” and that it will be “celebrating our diversity and differences”.

Following the reveal at this year’s Game Awards, gamers began assiduously looking up new info for Dragon Age: The Dread Wolf Rises. Some gamers ended up stumbling coming across the Twitter profiles of the developers working on the game while in search of new info, but they didn’t exactly like what they saw.

Well, on December 7th, 2018 Epler made a series of tweets responding to people who took one look at his profile and decided that the upcoming BioWare title, Dragon Age: The Dread Wolf Rises, could be compromised with sociopolitical agitprop.

Epler explained that the politics in his profile (consisting of gender pronouns and that he’s an open Leftist) is just a small extract from the much larger sociopolitical amalgam that constitutes the stories and characters in previous Dragon Age games and the upcoming Dragon Age game, saying…

“A few folks telling me, after seeing my twitter profile, not to bring my politics into the game. Dragon Age has always been about belonging – about realizing that family is more than blood and about celebrating our diversity and differences. It will remain so.

“Dragon Age is about hope, about how love and friendship are forces for good and about how, in the end, what we have is each other.

“Ultimately, though – all art is politics. It’s just a hell of a lot easier to ignore it when those politics match up with yours: I wear my heart, and beliefs, on my sleeve. And I always will.”

“We have finite time on this world. I want to spend mine making it a better and more caring place.”

Basically, this means that you’re looking at another Mass Effect: Andromeda or Dragon Age: Inquisition in the works. Keep in mind, though, that BioWare getting “woke” with Mass Effect: Andromeda cost them dearly, and the game ended up bombing on the marketplace.

Battlefield V is also experiencing a similar fate. The series was built around a measure of historical authenticity, but the latest game abandoned that in favor of the developer’s personal politics. In result, the sales have bombed all in due part to championing feminist revisionism, which involved extricating the real-life history of the men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice during World War II.

So far we don’t really know what the new Dragon Age game will be like. At most it was teased at this year’s Game Awards with a short trailer, but none of the gameplay, characters, or story were detailed.

But given that the narrative director openly supports the diversity agenda, we all know how the game will likely turn out, as evident with so many other titles that are on the Get Woke, Go Broke master list.
