Bethesda Attempts To Increase Fallout 76 Active Players With Classic Collection Deal

Before the year 2018 ends, Bethesda Game Studios knows that Fallout 76 isn’t doing well given how the company dropped the launch price down to $39.99 a week right after the game was released, and how some retailers like Amazon are selling the game for $34.99 after a free trial at one point. In an attempt to compensate for Fallout 76′s shortcomings, Bethesda will offer Fallout 1, 2 and Tactics for free next month for those who dare to log into Fallout 76 during 2018.

Yes, the publisher and developer are looking to get players logging in before the year closes to reap pretty numbers on some spreadsheets to please investors. The method to do this is to offer players who log into Fallout 76 the original Fallout, Fallout 2 and Fallout Tactics: Brotherhood of Steel for free next month.

The Fallout Classic Collection will be available for PC goers and Xbox One and PS4 players, too.

Participating players will get the games as part of the Fallout Classic Collection and will supposedly be able to claim the aforesaid games in early January 2019 as noted below.

You know the company is trying hard to rake in money when the pre-November deal aimed at folks who pre-ordered Fallout 76 before its launch surfaces once again — shafting those who supported the game before launch.

It’s amazing how far a brand name can carry a big abysmal title, say like Fallout 76, given how low tier Steam Early Access games do this all the time and meet an ill fate soon afterward.

Lastly, what makes this whole thing even worse is that Bethesda doesn’t even know when they will ship this in early 2019 to eligible gamers. Remember the canvas bag controversy that won’t ship until four to six months ahead of its original due date? Well, I expect the same thing to happen with the delivery of Fallout 1, 2 and Tactics if not something else egregious.
