Activision and Sledgehammer Games’ Call of Duty: WW2 received its first major DLC Expansion in the form of The Resistance. Along with the new DLC pack comes a new Call of Duty Zombies map called The Darkest Shore, which is themed around a fog-ridden island where the multicultural cast of characters must fight off the zombie hordes. There’s a gameplay walkthrough available for those looking for a little guided help with the latest Call of Duty: WW2 Zombies map, The Darkest Shore.
YouTuber MrDalek has a series of videos available covering the very basics of the map for those of you who need a bit of help. The first video covers the most basic need for any Zombies map: the Pack-a-Punch machine. You can check out the near three minute tutorial below.
How To Turn On The Power And Activate Pack-a-Punch
So first thing is first, you’ll need to turn the power on before you can activate the Pack-a-Punch.
From the spawn area you need to move through the corridors toward the block and then eventually progress through the halls toward the U-Boat pens.
You’ll find a power switch for the facility. You’ll need to press and hold down Square to enable the power (that’s ‘X’ on the Xbox controller).
Continue to move through the map and open up the areas until you reach the Overlook area, in which there is an artillery bunker you’ll need to open for 1500 credits.
Inside the bunker you’ll find a second power located on the back of wall in an office-like area.
Once the artillery bunker power is on you’ll need to activate the mine cart. The mine cart can be called from three different areas on the map, but the beach is probably the easiest to get to, since you’ll find access to the mine cart inside the cave directly facing the dead whale washed up on the beach.
Call the cart, ride the cart and kill the bomber zombies along the way until a prompt on screen pops up called “Elektroschnalle”. Press Square on the DualShock 4 or ‘X’ on the Xbox controller when the prompt appears on screen.
Pressing the button when prompted to will allow you to retrieve the Elektroschnalle batteries, which are in small cages alongside the mine cart routes.
You’ll need to acquire these Elektroschnalle batteries from three different mine cart routes. The second route is located in the U-Boat pen, and the third route for the mine cart is located in Bunker 1.
After collecting all three batteries, go over to Bunker 3 by traveling up the path and you’ll find a console where there are four battery slots. One of the batteries are already inserted. You’ll need to insert the other three batteries that you collected along the mine cart route.
Once you put in all of the batteries, the elevator will be powered up and it will open up for you. Inside the elevator you’ll find the Pack-a-Punch machine. From there you can upgrade your weapons and kill zombies much easier than before.
How To Build The Saw Gun
The next guide from YouTuber MrRoflWaffles covers how to build the saw wonder weapon in the Call of Duty: WW2 Zombies map for The Darkest Shore.
It’s a short three and a half minute guide that starts by requiring you to first locate the buildables bench where you’ll need to construct the weapon. You’ll find it located in the U-Boat pens area.
After locating the buildables bench, you’ll need to acquire the very first saw part, which is located at the Artillery Bunker.
The saw part is on a desk next to a gramophone and a lamp.
The second saw part is located directly in front of the Pack-a-Punch machine, just to the left of the console that powered the elevator to turn it on. You’ll find the part located inside of the wall where a German soldier has been decapitated.
Head back to the buildables bench and place the parts on the workbench by holding down Square on the DualShock controller or ‘X’ on the Xbox controller.
From there you’ll be able to build and buy the saw from the bench for 2500 credits.
