Need For Speed: Heat PC And Console Specs Surface Ahead Of Release

Electronic Arts and Ghost Games are to ship Need for Speed: Heat to PC, PS4, and Xbox One on November 8th, 2019. Given that the racing game is a powerslide around the corner, the devs decided to release the official specs for both PC and home console goers.

Without wasting any time, upon taking a quick trip to microsoft.com, potential buyers and fans alike can see that Xbox One owners need 28.01 GB of free space to install the racing game in question. In other words, the game is quite small to be honest, especially in this day and age.

As for PS4 goers, the house of the blue version is a bit bigger than the Xbox One edition. Clocking in at 35 GB as per playstation.com, folks will need to make sure that available space on their PS4 isn’t below said number or else you can’t play.

The PC version calls for more free space than meager Xbox One and the PS4 edition. Gamers will need 50 GB of hard-drive space, and the following according to origin.com:

Minimum Requirements

  • OS: Windows 10
  • Processor (AMD): FX-6350 or Equivalent
  • Processor (Intel): Core i5-3570 or Equivalent
  • Memory: 8 GB
  • Graphics card (AMD): Radeon 7970/Radeon R9 280x or Equivalent
  • Graphics card (NVIDIA): GeForce GTX 760 or Equivalent
  • DirectX: 11 Compatible video card or equivalent
  • Online Connection Requirements: 320 KBPS or faster Internet connection
  • Hard-drive space: 50 GB

Aside from the minimum PC requirements, the recommended specs sit below for your curiosity:

Recommended Requirements

  • OS: Windows 10
  • Processor (AMD): Ryzen 3 1300X or Equivalent
  • Processor (Intel): Core i7-4790 or Equivalent
  • Memory: 16 GB
  • Graphics card (AMD): Radeon RX 480 or Equivalent
  • Graphics card (NVIDIA): GeForce GTX 1060 or Equivalent
  • DirectX: 11 Compatible video card or equivalent
  • Online Connection Requirements: 512 KBPS or faster Internet connection
  • Hard-drive space: 50 GB

I should note that EA is known to put down Windows 10 as a recommended OS to play their titles, although that isn’t always the case. This means that you should check back at launch to see if anything changes if you plan to play the racing game on PC.

Lastly, Need for Speed: Heat has a day one update that tallies up to 4.6 GB on PS4. I’m sure the Xbox One and PC versions will see a similar update in question.

As noted above, Need for Speed: Heat will release on PC, PS4, and Xbox One on November 8th, 2019.
