Dragon Quest Heroes 2 Gets PS Vita And PS4 Gameplay Videos

Koei Tecmo and Omega Forces’ newest Dragon Quest Heroes 2 gameplay videos reveal both PS Vita and PS4 gameplay, monsters and how the combat will fair in the second edition of Dragon Quest Heroes. As of now, the game is slated to come out over in Japan on May 27th, with a western release date yet to be announced.

Fans of Omega Forces’ Dynasty Warriors games and hack and slash RPGs might find the second Dragon Quest Heroes something worth keeping an eye on. Held at the Tokyo metropolitan event, folks got to see a live stream of actual gameplay footage of Dragon Quest Heroes 2: The Twin Kings and the Prophecy’s End.

This “Premium Hands-On” footage offers quite a bit of information for those looking forward to more content and what the second game has to offer. With that said, the footage contains extensive PS Vita gameplay and later shows PS4 stuff like playable monsters through special coins, and a multiplayer-based boss fight against a WingTiger.

Although this Dragon Quest game looks alright, I’m still looking forward to a western release of Dragon Quest Builders. But while we wait, those that are more into the Musou type version of Dragon Quest will get an early glimpse of Heroes 2. As seen below, the first video shows PS Vita gameplay shown from a distance (meaning it’s not direct feed), while the second and third videos reveal PS4 gameplay against the great Chimaera, and the multiplayer battle against the WingTiger.

The videos above come from YouTuber Sasamune Game, which posted up the live stream in bits. For those that are interested in Dragon Quest Heroes 2: The Twin Kings and the Prophecy’s End will be able to get their hands on it on May 27th over in Japan for PS Vita, PS3 and PS4. As for a western release, it hasn’t been announced yet.
