Pathfinder Adventures Now Available For iOS And Android

If you have an iOS or Android smart device, you can experience Obsidian Entertainment’s Pathfinder Adventures right now… for free. The mobile title is a free-to-play card collecting game where players will head out on a dangerous fantasy journey while collecting gear, attaining magic and growing unique powers.

Obsidian’s CEO Feargus Urquhart, commented about the collaboration they had with Paizo in bringing the new CCG to life on mobile devices, stating…

“We’re huge fans and longtime players of both the Pathfinder Roleplaying Game and the
Pathfinder Adventure Card Game, and feel very fortunate to have had the opportunity to
collaborate with Paizo on Pathfinder Adventures,”

“Obsidian has worked on a wide range of computer roleplaying games, from Fallout: New Vegas to South Park: The Stick of Truth to Pillars of Eternity. Combining our cRPG experience and passion for Pathfinder, we had an absolute blast making this game, and hope you enjoy it as much as we had fun making it!”

Mobile is the future that a lot of studios want to get in on, and they’re working hard to find that next big Angry Birds. Whether or not Pathfinder Adventures will be that game remains to be seen, but players will attempt to build up their deck, acquire powerful new cards throughout their journey, and keep their party alive and well.

While Obsidian has a 36 second release trailer up and out for the game, I think gamers might find it a lot more appealing to check out real-time, unedited gameplay of Pathfinder Adventures. Luckily, YouTuber Techzamazing has 17 minutes worth of gameplay footage that you can scope out below.

If you’ve been in the mood to rekindle tabletop gaming from the D&D days but with a digital edge and a strong focus on the trading card aspect of role-playing, then Pathfinder might not be a bad pastime.

You can grab a digital copy of Pathfinder Adventures from off the iTunes app store or you can pick up a version of the game from Google Play. For more information on this popular tabletop game turned digital adventure, feel free to visit the official website.
