PlayStation fans across this generation and last gen will be able to fire up their PS4, PS3 and PS Vita over in Japan to take Dragon Quest Heroes 2 for a spin on May 27th. As for a western release, one hasn’t been set yet, but while eager fans wait, a new trailer fills in the gap with a large chunk of gameplay.
As of now, the hack and slash RPG is looking pretty cool with some of the features that the devs previously flaunted in other videos. Like with most Dragon Quest games, Square Enix will be publishing it, while both Koei Tecmo and Omega Force are developing it.
Adding on to the above, the game will play out similar to the first Dragon Quest Heroes game. For those familiar, it plays out like most musou games where you hack and slash at enemies until they are deceased, except this game includes RPG elements in the mix as well.
With that said, V-Jump has published a full 18 minute long video that features around 13 minutes of actual gameplay footage, which shows a lot of town exploration and vending.
In addition to this, the video covers the various places in the town of Zebion and the different places players can explore. While in the town we see a lot of castle-like designs as well as shop keepers that offer useful goods across the city.
Aside from town stuff, we also get a nice treat to the skills and sub-classes throughout certain parts of the video. If you want, you can check out the video below courtesy of V-Jump‘s YouTube channel.
The latest implementation comes directly after Dragon Quest Heroes: The World Tree’s Woe and the Blight Below, and will be for PS4, PS3 and PS Vita over in Japan on May 27th. As of now, there’s no word on a Western release, but I’m sure we’ll be hearing about one later on.
