Catching wind from DualShockers, some beautifully constructed models emerged in a batch of new screenshots displaying Media Molecule’s Dreams artwork. Although they are designed and created in 3D, some of the screenshots happen to look like actual paintings.
Behind the works of Tearaway Unfolded and LittleBigPlanet 1 and 2, comes Media Molecule’s latest project Dreams. If you aren’t familiar with the dev’s work, they usually put the control of creation in the hands of players to create, well… anything that comes to mind. This falls in line with Tearaway Unfolded and LittleBigPlanet. In addition to the above, Dreams is no exception of creating almost anything with no limits as seen below.
I do have to say that the game has a very unique and interesting look to it, I just hope that the game brings enough depth so that players don’t become overwhelmed when creating, but interested enough to stick around with the game to make some sick stuff.
Currently without a release date, the game is noted to have a beta launch sometime during this year for folks to test. However, if you don’t know how the creation system works or how the game looks, the dev team took to a live stream and uploaded a video of sculpting different characters in an hour-long video. If you want, you can skip through just to get a taste of what Dreams aims to offer.
Dreams will be available for PS4, and will allow players to create more than 1,000 playable characters. With that said, the creator in me seems very pleased given that the devs behind this have a good track record for allowing players to create fun and crazy stuff right from the start.
