Fallout 4 Modders Plan To Make New Cascadia Mod Bigger Than Far Harbor DLC

With a team of 18 people lending their work to the project, a new mod under the name Cascadia is set to dwarf Bethesda’s Far Harbor DLC for Fallout 4. This mod is noted to bring a nice wasteland spin to Seattle and the surrounding areas. The ambitious mod is set to bring more quests and places to explore, while set to be available for PC, PS4 and Xbox One through the official Creation Kit and Nexusmods when it drops.

Yes, I know, ambitious mods by random modders can be scary since most get jammed in development and never see the light of day. But this dedicated mod has been in the works for around six months, and is slated to be available for PC, PS4 and Xbox One when respective support rolls around for modding on consoles.

“Our plan is to make this available to as many people as possible. The Nexus website has been the primary release site for most of our team’s individual projects in the past. We plan to release there, and on Bethesda.net for PC/PS4/XB1 so as to make it available to as many people as possible. At this time however, we cannot guarantee it will work on consoles.”

The new location is said to be a little smaller than Fallout 3‘s world map, but containing more characters, factions, quest and other small things to interact with inside the wasteland of Seattle.

Entitled to be a standalone adventure mod, other areas like Mercer Island, Bellvue and Redmond will accompany the vast landscape, along with surrounding forests and airports.

It’s worth noting that all of this will be separate from the main game and will require players to use another save file, meaning no traveling from Seattle to Boston in one go, as noted below.

“Yes. Our adventure is completely separate from the main game. It begins before the intro movie and character creation even start. You will not be able to travel between the Pacific Northwest and the Commonwealth. This is a design choice (but if you really want to, a simple mod will likely make it possible).”
