Set to come out tomorrow, as of this writing, Bethesda has released a new video detailing what players can expect from Fallout 4‘s Far Harbor DLC for Xbox One, PS4 and PC. Drifting players to the rugged shores of Maine, new weapons, armor sets, enemies and quest wait ahead in the second expansion.
There’s no doubt that more glitches and caps exploits will likely be woven into the core essence of the Far Harbor DLC, but it should also quench the thirst of Fallout 4 players who’ve been waiting for something new to play with in the Boston wasteland. Though mod support is somewhat official, except for PS4 players, this should last wastelanders sometime before mod support officially drops.
Fueled by Valentine’s Detective Agency, folks will set northward to one of the lesser talked about states of the post-apocalyptic U.S. — Maine. In search of a woman and a secret colony of synths, the radiation and new foes stand in the way of the great Far Harbor mystery.
To get a taste of the “way life should be,” you can watch the trailer below, which is posted up on Bethesda’s YouTube channel.
As seen in the video above there are new weapons, which include the harpoon gun that was discovered last year when the game launched, except it looks different. We also get a nice stub-handled lever-action shotgun, and some new armor that almost challenges Power Armor grade defense, entitled Marine Combat Armor.
Among the new stuff, we also see caves and lethal creatures like the Angler who absorbs the surrounding fog and shoots it as flammable spit balls, and a gigantic Crawler that resembles a mutated Mirelurk.
Obviously there will be loads more in this DLC, which I’m sure YouTubers will be creating guides and the typical glitch videos that will be posted up after its launch.
Fallout 4’s DLC, taking on the name of Far Harbor, will be out tomorrow on May 19th, for Xbox One, PS4 and PC.
