Halo 5: Guardians Memories Of Reach Update Offers Infection Playlist And Stasis Map

Developer 343 Industries revealed what players can expect from the new Memories Of Reach update for Halo 5: Guardians. This includes matchmaking preferences for Arena and Warzone, and a new map called Stasis.

Updating the official Halo Waypoint blog, 343 Industries revealed what will be in the upcoming Memories of Reach update. This extends the matchmaking preferences allowing players to swap between three options when looking for a match, which are Focused, Expanded, and Balanced.

These changes will also affect both Arena and Warzone, and are followed by the Post Games Carnage report seeing changes too. The PGCR will give an overview of rewards, medals, and commendations during a match. For those who are curious, they can also view any player’s top medals on the stat table.

The devs also made mention about character movements changing, and will see the Spartan Charge tweaked some with it not registering enemies on the end of your reticule on flat surfaces. Speed Boost won’t allow one-hit kills with the Spartan Charge, and same goes with the Gravity Hammer. And the last movement speed change affects the crouching speeds, which is now sped up.

Joining the list of changes and new content is the Infection playlist. This will include a new set of Infection Medals and will call for special actions to get them.

The last piece of information pertaining to this update details the new Arena map Stasis. Thanks to the screenshots and images on the official blog, we get to see different glimpses of the map and other new content in the images below.

Halo 5

Even though Halo 5 isn’t on my top spot for a shooter, it’s nice to see the devs updating the game with loads of content like they are with different maps, mods and other features.

If you want to catch the full live stream for Memories of Reach, it will be showcased on the Halo channel over on Twitch on Wednesday, May 11th.
