Odin Sphere: Leifthrashir Western Demo Now Available For PS4

Joining more demos, Atlus’ 2D hack and slash fighting game Odin Sphere: Leifthrasir demo is now available on the PlayStation Store for western folks to enjoy. Odin Sphere is due out on June 7th in America and the 24th for Europe, and will be available for PS Vita, PS3 and PS4.

If you are a fan of 2D hack and slash games you will be able to try out Odin Sphere: Leifthrasir’s demo now. PS4 players will be able to experience the journey that Atlus and Vanillaware will soon release next month to see if it’s something worth supporting.

If you don’t mind running a single level, then expect just that from this demo. To be honest, I like it better when there are snippets of two or three levels instead of just one long stage. Multiple levels provide a nice taste of the game’s variety; with one stage can be crafted well enough to deceive one into thinking the rest of the game will be the same way.

Speaking of levels, the one stage is accompanied by five playable characters for one to enjoy. This consists of Oswald, Velvet, Mercedes, Gwendolyn and Cornelius.

During a playthrough, one will notice fast combat and combos that can link into other moves when fighting a single enemy or multiple foes at once. This ranges from simple attacks that look fancy to extreme moves that have the player moving around the screen decimating enemies to nothing.

The trailer below is a month old, but this video provides a nice look at what the game is all about. You can check it out below.

The 521MB demo is available on the PlayStation Store for western folks. As for a PS Vita demo, one will be hitting the handheld device next week.

The official release of Odin Sphere: Leifthrasir will be due out for PS Vita, PS3 and PS4 for North America on June 7th, while going live over in Europe on June 24th.
