Mods are starting to pop up for One Piece Pirate Warriors 3 on PC that fixes a few things that Koei Tecmo couldn’t be bothered with for the port from the PS3 and PS4. The mod increases the draw distance so the game renders more of the game area at a single time, it also allows players to zoom out from their character so they can better see all the enemies coming their way, and there’s a Reshade mod that removes the fog so you can see the stages with crystal clear clarity.
GeekSnack is reporting that the new mod for One Piece Pirate Warriors 3 is available right now and you can see how it looks in action with the video below.
That rock-swing soundtrack is also very fitting for the game.
Anyway, after the 1:20 mark you can see how the new zoomed out camera looks and how it gives the player more control over what they see on the screen and who’s coming at them.
While the mod definitely helps give players more options in how they can play, it still doesn’t fix some of the built-in problems that came with the PC port of One Piece Pirate Warriors 3. One of the big issues the game suffers from on PC is that you can’t access the higher end graphics options. They’re restricted to the PS3 levels of graphics fidelity, which means you can only play the game as if you were from 2006.
Koei Tecmo has done this in previous games being ported to PC, including Dead or Alive 5: Final Round, which lacked the next-generation boob jiggle physics. That made gamers fume with righteous anger. The one thing you don’t skimp on in a fighting game is limited jiggle physics. That’s like making Donald Trump President of the United States and then limiting him on how xenophobic his policies can be.
