Soul Axiom Launches On PS4, Xbox One June 7th

Wales Interactive’s first-person, cyber-puzzle game, Soul Axiom, will make the transition from its humble roots on PC as an indie title-that-could, to being a full fledged console game on the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One starting June 7th, next month.

The virtual reality mind-bender will launch at the starting price of $19.99… however, PlayStation 4 owners will get the game at a discounted rate of $14.99 if they’re a PS Plus member, while everyone else will get the game for 10% off the normal price for a limited time.

Xbox One owners will get something special as well, including an entirely new chapter that contains three additional levels and an 82-page art book featuring various characters, levels, environments and concept art from Soul Axiom.

The game itself sees players taking on the role of an individual who enters into the simulated realm of Elysia. Players will be able to collect various hand powers to manipulate the levels, complete puzzles and overcome obstacles, all while figuring out exactly what’s going on and why things are getting real trippy. You can see the launch trailer for the game below to get a better idea of what it’s about.

There will be 100 different puzzles to solve across 40 distinct locations that spans 20 hours of gameplay. What’s more is that depending on your choices throughout the game you will end up with one of the multiple endings, giving gamers an opportunity to replay the title and discover a different ending.

Soul Axiom is one of those indie games that traveled the long road to release, making its way onto Early Access, where it spent some time getting polished up before its full release. It always seems like a pretty big deal when an indie game goes through that kind of journey to finally see the light of day on home consoles. It’s kind of a testament that not every Kickstarter project or IndieGoGo game with higher-than-necessary goals is a scam.

Anyway, you can look for Soul Axiom on home consoles starting June 7th next month. For more info feel free to visit the official website. Also, if you don’t care about the Xbox One or PS4 versions of the game, you can still pick up a digital copy right now for PC.
