BlazBlue: Central Fiction Coming West For PS3 And PS4 Late 2016

Both North America and Europe will get the 2D fighting game BlazBlue: Central Fiction at the end of this year. Publisher PQube will release the game over in Europe during Q4 of this year, while a North American release will come out during the Winter of this year. BlazBlue: Central Fiction will be for PS3 and PS4.

Fans of BlazBlue will now have something to be excited for that comes in the form of Central Fiction, which will be for PS3 and PS4. Following the final chapter in the story of Ragna the Bloodedge, the game will feature a story mode that will last over 40 hours and then some. Fans will also find an arcade mode with some re-works, new characters, different gameplay mechanics and character re-balance.

Speaking of new characters and balancing, there will be over 30 playable characters, which will feature their own “creative” combat mechanics. It’s also noted by the devs that each character will also have “compelling visual” designs and moves, which sounds pretty interesting.

Joining the large character roster are some new locations. Sporting over 60 stages to battle in, older stages will also accompany the plethora of locations that will be rendered in 3D.

Being honest here, I don’t like it when animes and games mix hand drawn or sprites with obvious-looking 3D. I think it clashes when the two are put together, but that’s just me.

Furthermore, the game will feature some new modes like Speed Star and Alliance. Other features include Massive Exceed Accel attacks to complete Overdrive mode with a bigger bang, and Active Flow that will encourage aggressive play and increase in-game offensive power.

Those interested in the 2D fighting game, BlazBlue: Central Fiction, will be able to get a hold of it sometime later this year, which will be for PS3 and PS4.
