Boss Key Productions announced that they’re recruiting gamers for a weekend of mayhem for their first-person shooter Lawbreakers.
During this year’s E3 conference they announced that the game would accepting sign-ups and gamers would be able to get in some game time in the closed alpha test this weekend starting June 18th.
According to the head honcho of Boss Key Productions, Cliffy B., he stated in the press release…
“I can’t wait for everyone to see the results of all the blood, sweat and tears our development team has poured into this project so far. And it doesn’t stop here; we’ve got a lot more content we’re working on that we’ll continue to roll out during the alpha, Early Access and beyond, collaborating with the community to shape and improve the game.”
In addition to announcing the alpha weekend, they also let loose a new developer diary to give gamers some insight into the design process that you can check out below.
The developer diary is straightforward, talking about what the alpha process is about and why they’re opening up to more players this weekend.
They discuss the need to get player feedback and to get a sample to see what works and what doesn’t, and to stress test the servers.
They plan on running some alpha tests ahead of the game getting pushed into the Early Access phase, and so they want to iron out as many of the kinks as possible before they begin charging money for it.
They’re introducing a new mode this weekend along with a new map based on Santa Monica, California.
