Toukiden 2, Four New Weapons Revealed In Gameplay Trailers

Koei Tecmo and Omega Force’s upcoming hack and slash RPG is slated to come out over in Japan on July 28th, and has gained four new videos showing off various weapons. As of now, no western release has been set, but the game will be available across the PS Vita, PS3 and PS4.

Koei Tecmo has been throwing out quite a bit of weapon videos pertaining to Toukiden 2, which it would be nice if we could get a variety of exploration videos, instead of short 40 second long trailers showing the same boss.

But, if you are like me and want to see more of the combat and how the characters handle other types of weapons, you will be able to do so with these new trailers. All four videos run around or over 35 seconds.

Furthermore, the new weapon videos arrive after the previous Swordwhip, Sword-Shield, Sickle and Chain, and Long Sword videos. The first video reveals the tactical Bow and Arrow, with the others coming in afterwards showing the Naginata, the Knives and the Gun.

You can watch the first video showing the Bow and Arrow, courtesy of Koei Tecmo‘s YouTube channel, which is followed by the other three weapons.

My personal favorite weapon out of them all would have to be the Sickle and Chain. I like that players are given the option to hook on to the enemy, attack at close range and then dash back and use the chain to attack multiple enemies all in one go.

As noted above, the game doesn’t sport a western release yet, but I’m sure later in the year that will be addressed. Those who are excited for Toukiden 2, the hack and slash JRPG, will be able to play it over in Japan on July 28th, which is for the PS Vita, PS3 and PS4.
