While E3 is going on, Koei Tecmo and Omega Force decided to show off some more weapons in their upcoming hack and slash JRPG, Toukiden 2. Last week the devs revealed some other weapons that showed their merits in battle, and they are now followed by two more new weapons. Toukiden 2 will be out over in Japan on July 28th this year for PS Vita, PS3 and PS4.
I really do enjoy playing Monster Hunter games and experiencing their grandeur battles against giant creatures that won’t back down. With that said, it looks like Toukiden 2 will bring some Monster Hunter fun to the table and then some. However, each enemy will most likely feature a weakness that enables the player to take advantage to triumph the beast quickly, which can only be done with a weapon.
Speaking of weapons, two new videos show even more weapons and what they can do during the heat of battle. Taking on the same dark crab-like creature, we see the unique Sickle and Chain combination that allows a player to get in close and hack away.
Both videos don’t last long, and only run for 30 seconds or a little bit less, which the first of the two is the sickle weapon set. The video comes in by Koei Tecmo‘s YouTube channel.
Now that the first video is out of the way, the second comes in and reveals how the Long Sword operates. Sporting the likes of a katana gone dramatically bigger and fancy, the long sword deals a lot of charge attacks mixed with quick strikes and slashes.
Running for 20 seconds, and in the similar setting as the first video, you can view the Long Sword in action against the giant foe.
Toukiden 2 will be available for PS Vita, PS3 and PS4 over in Japan on July 28th. Those that want to test the game out will be able to do so with the ongoing Japanese demo, which is for the three said devices.
