Koei Tecmo Delays Berserk To Improve Quality, Will Release October 27th

Koei Tecmo took to Twitter to announce Berserk’s first delay. The Musou hack and slash game currently holds two release dates, which is set to come out over in Japan on September 21st, and in the West sometime this Fall.

The Japanese version of Berserk will be for PS3, PS4 and PS Vita. As for the Western version, it will not only release for the PS4 and PS Vita, but there will also be a PC version via Steam. However, the game will not release on said dates due to a recent delay.

Koei Tecmo and the dev team took to @berserk_musou to announce the game’s delay, which can be seen below.

For those that do not understand the above, and wish for it to be translated — which it can be by clicking on the tweet and hitting translate — you can read what the translated tweet details below:

“[Public relations] further improvements to ensure release date 9/21 with (Wednesday)⇒[10/27 (Thursday)] to have changed. Game will satisfy the more we ask you can continue to develop in the best, so please wait for the us. .

In addition to the translated version of the tweet, the team seeks to improve the game by delaying it by a month, which is said to help the overall quality. Something worth noting, I’m not sure how much this delay will help Berserk, but seeing how it’s by a month I wonder what will come out of this?

Anyways, this news shouldn’t come in as a surprise, seeing how before launch nearly all of Koei Tecmo games are delayed. Fans who can’t wait will need to wait an extra month, although I’m sure this delay will also affect the Western version, too.

Those excited for Koei Tecmo and Omega Force’s take on Berserk, the hack and slash Musou game’s new release will be on October 27th, for PS3, PS4 and PS Vita. As for the western release, I’m not sure if it will keep its said Fall date, but I’m sure time will tell. For more information on the game, you can head on over to gamecity.ne.com.
