Mekazoo Enters Closed Beta Testing; Sign-Ups Are Live

You can sign-up to participate in the limited closed beta test for the upcoming 3D platformer, Mekazoo. The 2.5D game was scheduled to enter testing on July 1st and now that July 1st is here, testing has begun.

The Good Mood Creators sent out word that their platformer featuring the “Mekanimals” is live for certain players, and it’s possible to get in on the action by heading on over to the official website and going through a simple sign-up process.

Now unlike other beta tests out there, the highlight for Mekazoo is that those who help The Good Mood Creators iron out the kinks in their upcoming title will be rewarded with a free copy of the game when the full version does release. It’s like free game testing with a free copy of the game once you get done. There’s really no downsides to this here, unless of course you simply had 2.5D platformers.

If you’re curious about participating in the beta but you have absolutely no clue at all what Mekazoo is or why you might want to job into the game, you can check out the trailer below.

Each of the animals have their own special abilities that can be utilized throughout the various stages. Players can switch to them to either overcome certain obstacles or beat certain enemies or bosses.

The music in the trailer above is reminiscent to the swinging jazz tunes that will fill up the soundtrack upon release, and games can look forward to this 16-bit inspired platformer when it arrives later in the summer for home consoles and PC.

According to the press release, Mekazoo will launch first on the Xbox One, Linux, PC, Mac, and PlayStation 4, and then shortly thereafter it will launch for the Nintendo Wii U. Better late than never, right?

You can learn more about Mekazoo by hitting up the game’s official website, where you can also sign-up to participate in the beta.
