Reus, Strategy God-Game Coming To PS4, Xbox One

Abbey Games’ Reus originally launched on Steam back in 2013. The game managed to gather a rather significant player base, with Steam Spy reporting that more than 800,000 people have picked up a copy on PC over the past several years. Well, Abbey Games has teamed up with Soedesco, and they have decided to bring the game to the PS4 and Xbox One.

According to Middle of Nowhere Gaming, Reus will make its debut on the home consoles sometime during the third quarter of this year.

The press rep for Soedesco Publishing actually did a fine job of breaking down what the game is about and what you can expect from this life-managing god game, stating…

“Create seas, deserts, forests, and swamps. Combine powers to make plants, trees, animals and mines. As the world takes shape, tiny humans will start to settle and create villages. It’s up to you to determine how well your giants will take care of the humans.”

The game is controlled through four massive giants who each contribute something different to the cultivation of man. It’s a very interesting looking title and you can check out the console trailer below to get a better visualization of how it’s played.

Now if that just wasn’t enough to quench your thirst and you need a bit more gameplay to whet your appetite, fear not for there are more gameplay videos out there on the interwebs.

There’s an oldie but a goodie Let’s Play of Reus from YouTuber ParkyGames. You can check out the video below.

Maybe now you have a better idea of how Reus is played? Okay, good.

They don’t have any details on the pricing of the game for the PS4 or Xbox One, but it will be released both physically and digitally on Microsoft and Sony’s systems. Be sure to keep your eyes peeled on the news feeds for an official release date.
