Koei Tecmo and Omega Force just released Toukiden 2’s newest demo for PS3, PS4 and PS Vita. Tagging along with the new demo is the game’s opening movie trailer that shows different weapons put to use, as well as abilities against a giant creature.
As reported before, Toukiden 2‘s latest demo is out today for folks to try out. This new demo is different from the older version in which it’s not all about players testing the game early for mechanical reasons. This new demo lets players save their data and transfer it when the official game launches next week in Japan on July 28th.
In addition to the demo’s saving feature, unlike the older demo that didn’t allow for data to cross over to the full version, the new demo lets demo participants find loot, gear and other stuff to be saved to their character and imported over into the full release.
Those seeking to boot up the Japanese demo to try out will find how much space each version takes up, as well as links to their respective system below:
- PlayStation 3 (2.8GB)
- PlayStation 4 (6.5GB)
- PS Vita (2.2GB).
Before jumping over to the new opening movie trailer, the demo will let folks play the beginning part of Toukiden 2’s story. How much will it let you play? That I’m not sure of, but I assume it will be like other demos where it gives a nice taste to reel you in so that you will want more when it ends. This demo will also give you special bonuses when playing the full version, which I think is the devs way of thanking players for participating in the demo for Toukiden 2.
With that out of the way, the new opening movie for the game is up for folks to view, which runs for a minute and 51 seconds. You can check it out thanks to Koei Tecmo‘s YouTube channel.
Toukiden 2 is set to release for PS3, PS4 and PS Vita over in Japan on July 28th. As for a Western release, there’s no word on one yet.
