Armello Arrives On Xbox One August 30th Along With New DLC For PC, PS4

Armello from League of Geeks launched last September for PC and PS4, but the Xbox One was left out in the cold like a husky locked out of the house after a drunken sled driver mistakenly passes out before unstrapping the dog. Well, League of Geeks is definitely sober enough to have remembered the Xbox One, and have announced that not only will Armello be launching on Microsoft’s home console on August 30th, but some new DLC called The Usurpers Hero Pack will be arriving for the Xbox One, PS4 and PC on August 30th, too.

The announcement was recently made alongside the release of a new teaser trailer to give gamers something to salivate over for the end of August. You can check it out below.

The trailer doesn’t entirely give you the full gist of what’s contained in the DLC, which features four new heroes from different regions along with four new rings. The four heroes include Magna, the Unbroken, Elyssia the Wardess of Warrens, Ghor the Wyldkin, and Sargon the Death Teller.

Trent Kusters, co-founder and director of League of Geeks commented in the press release about the new heroes, saying…

“Launching Armello last September was never the end goal, just a milestone. The Usurpers Hero Pack expands Armello’s depth of strategy and diversified playstyles.” “We have been overjoyed by the positive reception fans continue to show the game and are not only excited to expand the experience, but to also welcome Xbox players into our incredible community.”

The hex-based strategy adventure game has managed to rack up a sizable following since its release, scoring lots of very positive reviews while basking in the glory of its anthropomorphic themed art-style and fantasy-world storytelling.

Armello is a unique breed of games, mixing in the adventuring and political management from games like Heroes of Might & Magic while also dabbling in card based combat and character role-playing.

The mixture of these elements with the art-style has easily endeared a lot of gamers to its design and gameplay. You can pick up digital copies for the aforementioned systems or you can learn more about this indie title by hitting up the official Armello website.

The game launching on Xbox One will carry a $19.99 price tag but the DLC will be available for $9.99 on the Xbox One, PS4 and PC.
