Taking to the official Battlefield 1 page, EA and DICE updated it to reflect the existing information regarding the new map and train segment to be shown during Gamescom next week. This will take place on August 16th, and will arrive with a live-stream consisting of gameplay and a new trailer. Battlefield 1 is set to come out on October 21st for PC, PS4 and Xbox One.
Coming in as no real surprise, EA recently announced that they will host a full live-stream during Gamescom that will showcase some special content. I think most of you already know that this special content will consist of the desert segment shown in the trailer, which will hold horses and an armored train.
This was teased on the game’s official site, as seen below:
“At EA Play, Battlefield Squads pit 64-players in the first-ever livestream of Battlefield 1 gameplay. Next week at Gamescom, we’re deploying it again. On August 16 at 12PM PT/9PM CEST, a new Battlefield Squads livestream will show off a new map filled with Only in Battlefield gameplay. There’s a new trailer coming soon, too, with a trainload of new information about Battlefield 1.”
“In case you’re wondering, yes, ‘trainload’ is a tease.”
To be honest, I am excited to see more of Battlefield 1. Being a WW1, WW2, Korean War and Vietnam lover (although seeing another Bad Company game wouldn’t be bad) I can’t wait to see more of these trains and horses in action.
This brings us to the part where folks can join in somewhat early thanks to Beta sign-ups arriving through Battlefield-Insider newsletters. This allows fans to choose their preferred system on the preferences page so that folks can gain early access to the WW1 game.
As of course, once you are done picking your platform this will provide you with a special code so that when the Beta starts up after Gamescom, you will be fit for action. You can learn more by heading on over to battlefield.com.
Lastly, Battlefield 1 is set to come out on October 21st for PC, PS4 and Xbox One.
