The mysterious and interesting puzzle game Hob has a new trailer. The new PAX West trailer delves into the the ever changing cog world of Runic Games’ project, and shows the repairing process of the puzzle-like world in action. Hob will be for PC, PS4 and Xbox One, and currently has no release date.
I’m not much of a puzzle person, but I do like the whole ideal of combat mixed with puzzle world building. The game looks simple and unique, and seems like it could be challenging with both building the world and fighting enemies.
Following this information, the devs posted up the usual description for Hob, which also dives into Runic Games’ previous works like Torchlight, and so on:
“Awaken to a world in disarray and uncover your role as you explore stunning landscapes and repair the planet itself. Runic Games, the award-winning studio behind Torchlight and Torchlight II, welcomes you to Hob.”
The game is said to be presented without any text or dialogue, while the story for Hob is revealed as you explore the planet and interact with different parts in the game. Upon solving puzzles, you will begin to repair the world in which allows you to explore any part of the game at your own pace.
The above is also coupled with a special glove-arm that imbues you (the player) with the ability to warp, punch and grapple while exploring.
The devs announced and published a new trailer for Hob through PlayStation‘s YouTube channel, and noted that:
“Gamescom is just barely in our rear-view mirror, but we’ve still got more to share about Hob. Fortunately for us, PAX West is right around the corner and we’ve got a new trailer:”
With that said, you can check out the official trailer below.
